All parts of the StratuX assembly fit very well in this case. With the Raspberry Pi 3B and SDR approaching the maximum allowable current for a micro USB port, with all the voltage drops that come with it, I figured I could save power by not running two fans at full speed. I do not recommend fan power from almost overloaded USB ports. Easy to fix, just extend the fan wires and connect them to the 5V GPIO header pins. To reduce current draw, four 10 ohm 1/8w 5% carbon film resistors were soldered to each fan wire and then the fans were connected in parallel before connecting to the 5v connector pins. So draw two fans roughly the same amount of current, how much does one full power fan cost. The reduced fan speed allows you to touch the SDR connectors, and the CPU temperature is around 41Β°C without a heatsink with an ambient temperature of 78Β°F. You will need to drill small holes in the case to access the RPi's status lights see, and drill, cut or melt a slot to allow the external USB GPS cable to exit directly out of the case.
