I ordered this item as a Christmas present for my sister who loves making homemade popcorn the traditional way in a pot on the stove but thought it would be an easy alternative to make her homemade popcorn the way she loves it. I really like this popper bowl and its lid is dishwasher safe which makes it easy to clean. This popper is really cool as it's made from 100% BPA-free silicone and has a foldable design for easy storage. Its fully folded height is just over 5.08 cm (2 inches); A box of microwave popcorn takes up more space! My sister has used this bowl twice now and popcorn is easy to make and delicious. It's easy to use: all you have to do to make delicious, fresh, homemade popcorn is place popcorn kernels in a popcorn bowl, close the lid, and pop in the microwave. You can also easily add oil and/or salt (or any other desired flavoring) by simply adding them to the kernel popper, putting on the silicone lid, and then gently shaking the bowl to evenly coat the kernels before cooking. Microwave. There are two measuring lines inside the popper so you can easily determine how many grains to add for the right amount of popcorn. The bottom measuring line provides the perfect individual-sized portion, while the top line fills the entire bowl with popcorn, making it the perfect amount to share. When fully extended, the popper is approximately 10" wide and 5.75" tall, allowing enough popcorn to fit inside. This product is ideal for those who know and want to avoid all the additives in microwave popcorn bags and/or those who want to make homemade popcorn that is much healthier than pre-packaged, store-bought microwave popcorn. This product is available in five colors: black, green, blue, orange and red. I bought the green one and it looks just like the picture.
