Review on LAVA COMPUTER Parallel Interface Expansion by Mitchell Watson

My recently purchased dual parallel board was returned because it was not the current hardware version. You may or may not care, but the only reason I bought this card now was because the old hardware version does NOT work with many newer motherboards. Lava doesn't mark upgraded hardware on the box, and neither does Revain. But old hardware doesn't work with some newer motherboards. However, I have been successfully using an old dual parallel card in an old PC for many years. It offers 2 fully functional parallel ports. After installing it, I never had a problem with it on my old PC. This gave me THREE parallel ports for whatever printers and scanners I wanted to use. ) and not the old PCI interface used by all Lava cards. There are no immediate functional differences, but in a few years you will more likely be able to use it on your NEXT computer.
