Review on πŸ” Enhanced SEO: Royal Sovereign Shredder Lubricant Sheets, Pack of 10 (RS-SLS) by Paul Stocks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The right viscosity and ease of maintenance of the grinder!

A well-functioning shredder depends on two things: a well-made shredder and regular maintenance. The latter involves proper lubrication of the device to reduce blade friction and engine wear. This means that for every 30 minutes of continuous shredding, it takes about a minute to load one of these thin sheets into the machine to lubricate the cutting blades and remove dirt that builds up and reduces your shredder's performance. It's a simple, no-fuss process and the result is a durable shredder. I've used many different brands. These chopper blades are basically the same aside from the type of lube used: some use petroleum based oil while others like this product use a biodegradable, non-petroleum based lube which I prefer. Here's why: Product Benefits: 1. Royal Sovereign (RS) uses a non-petroleum based biodegradable lubricant (most likely rice bran oil) which is environmentally friendly. Brands made in the USA are more likely to use petroleum-based lubricants.2. These thin blades slide easily into your chopper hole, leaving a slick of oil for perfect lubrication.3. This product is also designed to clean the blades from paper debris, which is the main cause of clogging.4. RS supports the 800 number for customer service (see below). Product Issues: 1. Cost: A bit pricey at $12.32 for a pack of 10 shredder sheets.2. Made in China. If you are concerned about the specific materials/lubricants used, you can contact the manufacturer at 1(800) 397-1025 (US customers) or 1(905) 461-1095 and request a PDF file of a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS ) request (Canada) . Recommendations and Suggestions: 1. I liked and used these sheets when they were about $10 a pack. However, if you shred large quantities more frequently, it is much more beneficial to consider a bottle of shredding oil such as Fellowes Powershred Performance Shredder Lubricant. Your daily usage volume should guide your decision in this case.2. Avoid using household cooking oils such as canola and other vegetable oils - this can be practical and inexpensive in the short term, but it is not the right viscosity or formulation to use in your mill.3. You shouldn't spend more than $1 per sheet. Shop around and consider buying in bulk to get the best deal. Keep it up! On the CD "Health"
