Review on πŸ”§ Dorman 902-303 Engine Cooling Fan Relay Kit - Enhanced Performance for Select Models, in Sleek Black by Jason Lee

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Failed after 3 months

Well the price was attractive and I've generally had good luck with Dorman parts. My experience wasn't that good this time. After 3 months the relay failed and the coolant temperature was fixed at idle in the parking lot (fortunately not on the highway). The car is a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan. At first I couldn't believe that the part would break so quickly, especially since I used really good thermal compound (sold separately) underneath it. But once I ruled out everything but the computer, I bit the bullet and bought a relay for twice the price at the local auto parts store and installed it. The fans kicked on pretty quickly when the AC kicked in, so I knew it was Dorman's poor transmission. I contacted Dorman but they sent me back to Revane. Let's see if and when the return will be made.
