I have a Turtle Beach headset with a flip-up mic. One with Xbox/PS4 mode (PC is also Xbox mode) My new high performance HP Oemen PC and other Asus computers have a common front panel input. However, despite everything, the sensitivity of the microphone was too low, some sound distortion. Got this and plugged in a headset, the rear audio has the mic and audio out disconnected. Deep and lo and behold, the sound is crystal clear. The microphone is sensitive and works perfectly. Braided line for durability. GOOD PRICE.
