After trying to press the record button for videos with my iPhone myself and because I found it cumbersome, I decided to buy this remote control. It's very compact and lightweight. It works with my Canon M50. For M50 users .1) Go to number one in Wrench Settings and select Wireless. Then select the Bluetooth function. Then select Remote Control. If the pairing option is not highlighted on the camera, you may need to check/clear the connection information to clear the settings. After that, the pairing should show up if it wasn't shown before. 2) Once pairing is highlighted on the camera, simply press and hold the W and T buttons on the remote for a few seconds and the connection should be established. 3) Once the remote is paired with the camera, you need to switch to driving mode, which is number one in the first set of menus with the red camera. In drive mode, change the setting to the 10 seconds/remote option. 4) On the remote control when the side switch is fully raised, that is, to take photos. When the switch is in the lowest position, it means start and stop video recording.
