Review on πŸ“ Precision Lytool Digital Micrometer for Accurate Millimeter Measurements by Walter Day

Very disappointing, bad choice

I have had about a dozen digital calipers in my life, half of them are stainless steel and half are plastic. Stainless steel is obviously stronger, more accurate and accurate, but in most cases plastic will do the trick in this regard, and their significantly lighter weight makes them much easier and more convenient to use. Plastic caliper, also $10 plastic caliper, but 20 years old, 20 years old, recently started peeling, started losing calibration where the zero point was when it opened and closed. I've noticed that several reviews of this Lytool caliper say it has the same problem, losing zero calibration, even when it's new, but I haven't seen this problem with this Lytool, even when I've intentionally tried to reset it trigger quickly. accidental opening and closing. Unfortunately, however, that's the only good thing I can say about this Lytool caliper. This plastic and carbon fiber Lytool caliper is certainly lighter than any stainless steel, but definitely the heaviest plastic I've come across. which robs it of the weight advantage over stainless steel. More importantly, most of the weight of this Lytool caliper is concentrated in its oversized head, the part that slides on the rail, the part that contains and supports its signature "Extra Large" LED display. A display that is not too small is certainly desirable, but this extra large display from Lytool is frankly oversized for the needs of everyone I know, perhaps unnecessarily large for easy visual perception, and again the caliper is designed that way . being very heavy in the head, generally very unbalanced, clumsy and unbalanced in the user's hand, especially as the head moves along the rail and the center of gravity shifts with it. In my opinion, at least, this caliper would be vastly improved with a not-so-great display. This Lytool caliper also has by far the roughest, stickiest, scratchiest movement of its head along a bar/rail of any caliper I've ever used. known. I don't know enough about the intricacies of the relevant materials and manufacturing techniques to know how to fix this, but apparently neither does Lytool. his rude gesture, and think that is very generous. You can measure with it, but I really can't name anyone this tool would be a good choice for, unless it might be someone with such poor eyesight that they really need a 3/4 inch digit display - heaven help them.
