I've been looking forward to using this device for vegetables that I usually put in ziplock bags. I just spent my money! First, it will NOT vacuum and seal. This button just sucks, it doesn't seal anything. Even an empty pocket! You have to let it vacuum and then press the seal button, wait a few seconds and hold your breath for it to be sealed. The instructions are just terrible. They don't explain anything except how to present the bag, close and latch the lid, turn on the vacuum and seal. I've done this about 7 times to no avail, then went to the empty bags and tried but still not sealed! So I tried the vacuum and seal one last time and then hit the 'seal' button on the left and it was sealed. The instructions don't mention this! It was with sliced fresh yellow squash. Made it. However, when I try to seal shredded zucchini, they do NOT seal, they just draw some liquid into the rim and don't seal. So if you're willing to put in a lot of extra effort to seal something that isn't completely DRY (wet button doesn't help), I'd suggest you save some money.
