First we read the reviews which were very helpful. My husband has an oversized t shirt. He is 5'9 and 175 lbs. Reading the reviews it seemed like we should probably go up a size. He has shingles and needed something that didn't fit around his waist. A large would fit due to its weight but the size we chose is always a good idea as you have plenty of room to move. They don't need an exact fit or find it difficult to sit comfortably. Also, given its size, it was well below the knee, which is what we wanted. It's spacious but it's what we wanted, much more comfortable. Very well done.
