Incredibly difficult to work with over 18 " wide

I bought several different sizes for old furniture and a table. I started small and it worked fantastically and breathed new life into some items. to 24" and then 48" it became a futile effort even with two people. Even the slightest pull too hard and it stretches and becomes unusable and doesn't recover properly. Lots and lots of wasted products.
