Our hood is heavier than most because it's lined. They are much easier to install than I expected and lift the hood with little effort. Does not crash into position when booting up. Does not attempt to take off by itself once you release the secondary hood latch. Easy to lower and lock in position. It's easy to pull the clips on the top links to allow the hood to pivot toward the windshield when you need more access. I'm usually skeptical and try to give good and bad ratings in reviews but I honestly can't find anything bad about this one. It's simple, efficient and easy to install/use.
