Yes, this bag is thin and baggy. It doesn't close completely, but there is a magnet and a small hook and eye closure to keep it closed. I usually prefer zippered pockets with an outside pocket for your phone or lip balm. It has neither and I still like it. I use a liner (a closed zippered pocket in a bag) to hold all the non-ordinary stuff, like all the stuff we keep in our husbands' or kids' wallets. And I leave my wallet, keys, phone, pen and lip balm in the bulk of the bag. I like it! it is super soft and voluminous. Not difficult and not heavy. It looks very casual and a little relaxed. I wanted to look a bit boho. I want more flowers! I want navy blue and army green. I need more colors than black, brown and red. My least favorite handbag colors. I bought the dark gray and it mostly looks black to me, but then again. I still like it!
