I really want to love her. They look great and the base is great for catching things that come off the ground. However, they are quite difficult to use. They don't press lightly at all. It is very labor intensive to extract the pepper in particular and you must use very fine crystalline salt. My thumb hurts when I try to use them and it's frustrating. I brought them with me because I thought it would be handy to have them next to the stove so I can use one hand to salt/pepper when cooking. However, it's ridiculous how much time and effort it would take to grind enough pepper for the food I'm cooking. However, I will say that the grind is really good, finely ground and I add a little of it to cooked food. However, they mostly just decorate my counter while I use another salt and pepper grinder.
