Each pack comes with a set of random dice that work but have optical imperfections that prevent them from matching with a normal set of dice. This means you get cool color combinations not found in the regular set. I've bought about 5 of these bags over the past few years and have noticed a few patterns. They typically contain less D4 than other die types and more D20 than other die types. There are often one to four dice of the same type, color and pattern. Of the 5 bags I bought, one had 5 dice with damage rendering it unusable, the other bag had a d12 split in half but after one go all dice were fully functional.
