This was my previous review (be sure to check out the update below!): Works the same as HP ink, just a lot cheaper. As mentioned before, don't upgrade HP or wait until you really need it to buy this ink. I used to buy branded ink, waited 6 months to use it, then my printer automatically updated and I couldn't use cartridges (other brands) but they did a great job with refunds. I was originally credited with $5 for writing this review. Updated 6/4/2021: I then received the new ink and the printer accepted it, assuming the code on the ink has been updated to reflect the new printer updates. After using the ink once, it no longer printed in black. I couldn't understand. I bought more ink, changed it and even bought HP ink. Then all the ink stopped working. I went through all HP troubleshooting steps. My printer never worked again. HP said my warranty was void because it was a different brand of ink. HP stated that using different ink chips that the printer couldn't read would damage it, and it did. I contacted Amazon and they wanted to know why I waited so long to request a refund. As I told them, I buy ink in advance (at least before!). They told me to contact this company. I did my best. The email was rejected. I then tried going back to their Amazon page to search for # or another email address and found nothing. Now I'm stuck back and forth with Revain. It's June and I originally bought it in February. So ask yourself if it's worth saving $20 on ink to buy a new $200 printer and fight for a $38 refund. That would be a hard NO!
