I really liked that these shakers were tall and thin because they took up less room on my shelves. However, I wish I hadn't bought them. The reason is that many lids cannot close properly. I have glitter in my shakers so this thing must be CLOSED. I lost too much shine with these spreaders. My glitters are $6-$13 each and I have over 300 of them. Losing your shine because a shaker doesn't close properly is not only costly, it can also get very expensive. If you're using them for condiments, be aware that if the lid flap doesn't sit flush with the lid, you'll be sending moisture into the shaker along with the condiments. Also, your spices won't stay fresh and the flavors will transfer from one spice to the next. Do you really want all your spices to smell like curry or cinnamon? If the lids were done right, I might recommend them.
