I used it as a photo album and it looks really cute. Very easy to assemble as it comes with a string and you just tie it through the hole punched holes in the paper. The paper is very thick and the end of the book is straight (near the binding). It does not fold like a normal book or photo album. So when you turn the pages in a book, there is an ugly crease at the end where the book is stapled. Then, after reading through and closing the book, the string became much looser and the pages were no longer straight in one place, but were hanging loose from the binding. Still planning on using this but definitely not what I was expecting. If the company had bound the book themselves and just tied a knot of thread over it, it would have been a lot better to make it look like a bandaged magazine. Paper and rope are a good idea, but not very strong or durable.
