Review on πŸ“ Neiko Electronic Oversized Millimeter Conversion: Streamline Your Measurement Conversions Effortlessly by Shigg Bigbee

Well that's not why I bought it.

Waited 2 months to test in real world conditions before posting. Working in fiberglass processing, mainly pressing 1" thick flat rolls of insulation between rolls of siding for construction, engineering or automotive sales. Bought because I was fed up with the poor quality calipers we make. After it passed our company's certification tests I started using it Finished products for us have a tolerance of +/- 0.03" or +/- 1.5mm so the loss of 0.002" due to gaps on the wheel bothers me for my needs Not, especially since a "guaranteed" not to be missed, it'll probably cost $150+. There have been a few instances where the display jumped to an outrageous figure of 5,700 inches when fully closed, but I attribute that to the environment I'm using it in. While standard decimal and metric measurements work reasonably well, the same cannot be said for the fractional part. The 1/128 inch accuracy probably looked fine on paper, but the result is half lit ($#)/128 because the LCD twitches between the two numbers it might be showing.

Pros
  • PRECISION AND PRECISION: This vernier caliper measures 0 to 6 inch and 0 to 150 mm, has a resolution of 0.0005 inch / 1/128 inch / 0.01 mm and an accuracy of 0.001 inch / 0.02 mm. mistakes and misjudgments.
