After reading the reviews on this product, I was confused. They seemed to be either one or the other in terms of efficiency. I went ahead and ordered as most of the reviews were positive and I'm glad I did. It didn't relieve the pain immediately or completely, but it does provide significant relief and help you stay active. I can't wear it for long because I don't like feeling "constrained," so I wear it for an hour or two at a time. Didn't try to sleep in it (some pain keeps me awake) because I feel it would be too bulky (my preference. I can't sleep in socks either). I love that it's small enough to carry around in my purse so it comes in handy whenever my hand gets tired. For the price I would say it was worth the risk and I'm glad I did!
