There are some really interesting patterns in this book - some of them are definitely unusual. The colors used in the book are mostly earth tones and you need a more or less plain yarn to show the stitch details/construction. I know I'm not the only person tired of new yarns and boring garter/hosiery scarves. Great ideas for using unusual yarn. A circular scarf would look good with a solid color or multicolored body with circles in complementary colors. However, I was disappointed with the very small print (especially considering how many spaces were left on each side) and the very dark color of the yarn. Used for many models (details are difficult to see). If you enlarge the pattern so you can read the images are not reproduced very well and that includes some photographs of the technique - it would be better if there were good drawings. In addition, information about the pattern was missing - sometimes you want to make the scarf wider or narrower, but not change the yarn and/or needle size. the money you save by enlarging charts and methods on a copier so you can read them without eye strain. 3.5 stars.
