Really good quality light. The black part is actually metal and the ends are black plastic. They are very thin and flat. I like the plastic bulb cover over the LED part but when I removed the plastic protective film the whole plastic part of the headlight came loose but luckily it came back and the bulb still works. put mine in the coffee table and fed the wire through the hole in the carpet. I love the adhesive strips that come with it, but I also attached my own wiring so I can't tell if it's the strips or the wire holders that hold everything in place! The lights are nice and bright, but they definitely have a very hard edge for the halo they cast. They're so bright you can see exactly where the light is falling, what's good and what's bad. I think I should have chosen a softer lighting effect. And I was hoping people would exaggerate the green hue but when I turned them on I saw that the real light is nice bright and white BUT there is a real yellow ring around the edges.
