It didn't make my head look huge like most other helmets! I have a more oval shape head and my Tipperary tends to put a lot of pressure on my forehead, this dosnt! My head is 22" and I ordered a medium which was perfect. I bordered on going smaller but Im glad I didn't. Its a Mat finish with off set colored petals, cute but professional enough. The fact that there isn't a dial to tighten actually made it easier and I felt that it was much more comfortable.The only thing I would change is that it isn't cut high enough around the ears so I have to kinda situate the tops of my ears when I put it on. Something that I quickly got use to and dont even think about it after 2 seconds. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars
