My old nail finder was having serious trouble finding nails behind the wall in my finished basement. In desperation, I ordered a Precision Sensor ProFinder 6000+ Professional hoping it would work. This works GREAT! He had no trouble finding the spikes and of course the multi-LED display is great for visualizing the exact location of the spikes. Another great feature is that there is NO trial and error initialization. Simply hold the Precision Sensor ProFinder 6000+ Professional against the wall and press the button. It just works. Long story short, once I found the bolts I was able to close the RotoZip drywall with confidence to move the wall box. Turns out the contractor had laid the half-inch drywall in two layers, so my old seeker couldn't find anything. But the Precision Sensor ProFinder 6000+ Professional has no problem with double-thick drywall. It even comes with high-quality batteries and a couple of pens, so it's ready to go right out of the box. minuses? Well, it's quite bulky compared to other spike finders. But in my opinion the only major downside is the slightly high price - more than double what I paid for my old one at the time. But this one is worth every penny. Ditch your current spike finder and grab this item. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
