I used old 2Wire DSL filters. Lord, how many years have passed? I've noticed that our DSL connection dies a horrible death in a cacophony of bad packages every time our landline phone rings (e.g. automatic appointment reminder). We had filters both on the phone itself and on the DSL line to the modem. Also, when we were forced to call from our landline (due to a particular system that had to call us from the phone number the account was set up on), you could hear clicks and then a separating flash of static white noise. In other words, our DSL filters were bad. After maybe 15 years I think it's time. I bought this pair here and replaced them on the phone and on the DSL modem side. Then I checked incoming and outgoing calls. No problem. The DSL Internet connection remains, phone calls go through and the voice quality is good. Also a great price.
