Sturdy handle with great shape, bristles far too abrasive

The handle is fantastic. The plastic is very rigid, so it doesn’t flex, and it has a nice gentle curve to it. However the bristles are far from "comfy”. They are flexible, but something about them feels abrasive on the skin. Perhaps my skin is more sensitive, but it felt more like scrubbing or mild exfoliation.
