Review on Felting Beginner Include Complete Starter by Tara Ford

universal kit!

Honestly this is a pretty good starter kit, especially if you're interested in learning about textured roving/alpaca. All wool sacks are packed the same, so you don't have to worry about getting more or less lost in each sack. This small unfinished figurine seen in the photo is not made entirely from the materials provided but is made from light red, black and textured gray wool (it has been mixed with some regular black roving). All of the rovings I've worked with seem nice and smooth and have a nice variety of colors! In terms of tools, these include "good" scissors (I've had trouble with some solid metal shears), marked as spare parts. Needle tubing and three needle handles so no interchange is required to use all three sizes, although all three include small needles as standard. The small tool case holds everything important perfectly. The only thing really missing is a pair of pliers. Safety eyes are a little tricky to use unless you glue them on with the included glue sticks, but given the amount of roving included most completed projects will be small for them. However, it is good that they are included and can be used in future projects. There are no instructions, but online tutorials on the basics are easy to find.
