I originally bought this for my rescue and emergency gear but the quality is very poor. The buttons are stiff and remind me of cheap radios around $14.99. The worst thing is the speaker itself and its poor reception ability. I live in a pretty decent town and the reception is good on one side but blurry on the other (about 10 miles away). Currently I can't receive any SW band at all. I don't know if this feature doesn't work or if the radio quality is so bad that it can't receive it. I would not recommend this radio to anyone looking for a quality weather radio.
