Issues Syncing is best in power strips

I'm still having trouble syncing this device. The instructions are strange and use images that are not the actual product. I tried using the Smart Life app listed in the instructions. For some reason this item doesn't sync to my wifi and I'm following the instructions perfectly. The product is a great extension cord so I'm giving it two, but I'd really like to know how to sync it to my Wi-Fi. If this is corrected I will completely change my assessment.
