Works very well as a direct replacement!
Works great and at a good price! I hope it lasts longer than the original hard drive (3 years in a Toshiba laptop. Bad sectors grow with every drive test)! The only problem with the installation was that the original drive's self-adhesive ground shield did not come with the new drive set (requires a peel and reattach operation).
