I like that it is measured in ounces. It also measures pounds and kilograms. This is a good scale for weighing my cat who has lost her appetite. It's a lot easier to buy a scale than going back and forth to the vet. My cat is small so the smaller one works fine. I also see it as a real gift for breastfeeding mothers. If my cat eats 2 ounces of food I can put her back on the scale and see the difference. This seems to be consistent. Apparently, it will also weigh adults. I haven't tried it, but it's very easy to take the baby piece off and put it back on. The scale is rated at 220 lbs.
