I got this system for my 30ft camper. There were cheaper devices out there but some of the reviews put me off. I mounted the camera on the bumper. I was a bit skeptical about not installing it next to the roof of a camper van for fear it would block the signal. My fears were unjustified. I connected it to the headlights. When I plugged the monitor into the cigarette lighter and turned on the RV headlights. automatic connection. When traveling, the signal periodically disappeared, but was restored very quickly. The color leaves much to be desired, but the picture is acceptable. I would give four and a half stars but that is not an option. At the same time, when reversing, the signal was fine. and lack of perfect color, ma'am. Haven't tried it in the dark, but then again I haven't had to reset in the dark since owning a motorhome. I don't have grid lines, but they can be obtained by simply cutting the white wire loop on the camera. Yes, but so far I'm happy with it.
