I don't measure pharmaceuticals, so a half gram (or more?) error in coffee or other products doesn't really bother me. If I measure out 25 grams of coffee beans or 27, I'm not sure if you're going to find teaspoons or a tablespoon. Instead, I could use a yeast or other starter scoop. In the morning I will most likely tare the scale to a predictable amount of milk and do it again to measure the coffee beans before grinding. It's easy to change the settings, and they turn off fast enough to save batteries. The lid/scoop is awkwardly shaped and the dosing sponge is useless (I just toss it out of the top left corner of the jar). Doesn't win usability awards, but it's useful, and Tara is definitely saving. Time. Find out why you want it.
