My 6 year old hates all coats. They are "too plump, not tight, too crispy and too uncomfortable". Bought this coat to try. He loves to. He still prefers NOT to wear a coat most of the time, but when it's cold enough he likes to take the coat. It's soft and warm but not puffy. It fits perfectly in his backpack when he doesn't want to carry it but needs it for a break. Black is pitch black. Blue is a beautiful royal blue.
