Review on πŸ–₯️ Wireless Network Brother QL710W Label Printer: High-Speed Solution for Efficient Labeling by Corey Nyuon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great label printer with ONE software bug

So after using the DYMO label and stamp printer (which was a terrible label and stamp printer) and spending the money on postage stamps). So I went with this model from Brother, they have a special offer where you can top up money and print only what you need WITHOUT monthly fees or minimum stamp purchases (the special offer is included in the documents that came with the printer became). in box) I like this feature best because I want to buy stamps on demand rather than for a monthly fee like other services. This label printer works great but the biggest problem I had is that if you are using a Mac computer and you want to prepay and print stamps through the pbsmartpostage.com website, it will not work with the pbsmartpostage stamp rolls on Mac. Computer. If you use this label printer to print stamps (one of the main reasons I bought it) you can only do it via PC (even if your iMac is running Windows with a program like Parallels or VMware it will still work Not). The other problem is that I hooked it up to my full PC system so I can print stamps for my business (I'm glad I didn't get rid of my PC) and you need to be connected directly when printing stamps via the website pbsmartpostage.com, so the wireless function will not work for this purpose. If anyone has a solution let me know, pbsmartpostage.com is entirely java based so it's very tricky to say the least. I couldn't get IE to work so I tried Firefox (still couldn't find the printer), Google Chrome finally worked. So the bottom line is this is a really great label printer that makes it easy to resize labels if you can. On a Mac, you're limited to label printing only. If you want to print stamps from this label printer, you need a PC and it needs to be connected directly. So it connects directly to my PC (just for stamp printing) and wirelessly connects to my iMac for label printing. Hopefully Brother will let customers know about this, but I really think it's a pdsmartpostage.com issue affecting using stamp rolls with iMacs. However, the DYMO label printer surpasses it in terms of label printing functionality and ease of use. Brother customer service works to the best of their knowledge and belief. When I first called I had a great technician on the line and he wasted no time. He set up a remote desktop session and got it up and running in seconds. The second time I called trying to get stamps to work on a Mac I called Brother tech support again and honestly the help wasn't great. everything and didn't even offer to log in remotely and help with troubleshooting. Basically it was a bunch. hmm, I don't know Mac, so really not. Anyway, conclusion. much easier and more flexible than DYMO and fewer labels. Out of the two companies out there I think this is the best. I love the additional label template that you can download that will cover almost all of your label needs. I love the Do Not Bend, Fragile, and This Side Up patterns. The Stamp Problem and You'll Love It Pitney Bowes (pbsmartpostage.com) You're a big company, take a moment and ask your designer to get your stamp rolls working on a Mac with this printer, DYMO can do it, me so you can for sure.

Pros
  • Super fast, prints up to 93 labels per minute
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
