I use this engine with my own game development projects (my latest one being "The Last Hero"). It has been very helpful when developing 3D environments that have complex lighting setups or need realistic rendering techniques like global illumination. Also it comes integrated with an editor so you can create your scene right away without having to learn another program such as Maya/3DS Max etc. The only thing i dislike about UE4 is its price tag which might be too expensive compared to other similar engines out there but if you are looking for something reliable then go ahead! There isn't much else to say because everything works perfectly fine. If you're starting from scratch and don't know anything regarding programming than just start using ue4 since after learning how easy creating things becomes and once done coding will become easier. You'll find yourself more productive while working on any project especially those involving graphics related tasks.
