This charger works very well but the controllers can be a bit difficult to insert and charge. I also had a few issues with it not charging while the PS4 was idle. But the biggest problem I had was after about 3 weeks of use when I had to move the charger when rearranging the console settings. I unplugged the power cord from the back of the charger and when I plugged it back in there was a click and it stopped getting power. As a repairman, I took it apart and saw that the solder joints for the mini-USB connector had come loose. I tried soldering the connector but I couldn't line everything up properly and keep everything in place and holding it with solder and iron - I just didn't have enough hands. So I cut the wires to the connector and removed it completely. Then I cut off the end of the old USB cable and solder its wires (plus and minus) to the corresponding wires on the charger. Now it works again and loads well. Your mileage may vary but I don't think it's too good a buy, no longer than it lasts. If I hadn't optimized the renovation, it would have been rubbish. So no recommendation from me.
