Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ Upgraded PowerCenter Surge Protector for Audio/Video devices (MPAV700RP) (MP AV700 RP) (No Longer Manufactured) by Johnny Burns

Revainrating 1 out of 5

There's no obvious way to reset it after it's done its job.

I've had an AV700 (although mine is grey, not like the picture here at Revain) for about a year and a half now and hooked up a small heater to it tonight. It's below 20 degrees in New York tonight so I turned the heating up to full blast and after about 20 minutes my TV, Blu-Ray and all other AV gear (anything connected to the AV700) are all dead more. I unplugged everything from the AV700 and looked for an obvious way to reset it as the light in the power button was still on. There is no joy. What's worse is that in the middle of Friday night (right now) I can't call up the [.] to see if I can find instructions telling me how to reset. The website has expired, although Revain showed up in no time. I even tried Google Cache[.] and again no joy. So you can only use this thing once? That's a waste of money. Sure, there can be times when it can catch fire, but from a handful of standard AV gear and a heater? Seems pretty lame to me. I suggest finding another better extension cord to protect you from AV.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
