I love wooden wicks, but they are often capricious, difficult to light, and difficult to maintain. Another problem is the size. Many of the wicks found on the internet are not designed for different container sizes. This packaging pattern provides for each of four sizes, meaning the width of the wood and the thickness that determines the size of the container. If you use fancy wax or certain colors or flavors, they can ruin the burn. I use a soy blend with added coconut wax, I also prime my wood wicks before pouring olive oil. The smallest wicks can be trimmed and used for jars about 2 inches in diameter. The locking tabs work well and you should use them. Always secure the wicks so they don't get caught in the melted wax. a 3.5" to 4" spark plug, but you have to test it. The motto when making candles is "test, test, test". If they are for your use, then you will find out everything. If you are making candles for sale or gifts you need to make sure they burn properly, all the way to the bottom. These are good wicks made from quality wood compared to many other wicks sold online. The combo back through Amazon including shipping costs less than $10, which is reasonable. If I do, there's a reason: don't encourage large flames in candles, they should be the same or slightly finer than traditional cotton wicks. I've had crackling wicks that were loud, they crackled nicely, delicately with a few pops here and there, not the constant high pitched noise I've heard with store brands so loud I blow them out and try to fix the wick with mine own wicks. Not a good idea either. Don't remake fancy trademarks, just throw them away, claim them or return them. 5 Stars.
