UPDATE #2: I've had this bag for 2 years now and it's my favorite bag. No problem. UPDATE: THIS IS AN AMAZING BAG. First off, the hinges on my ruined bag never broke apart except for the first two (so it ended up being decent), but despite that, A-Lab got back to me with incredible customer service and let me know that they have since updated your stitching . I have a new bag and I have to say it is exceptional, especially for the price. I've put the bike through a couple of heavy downpours and everything stays perfectly dry and mud splatters are easy to clean off with a damp cloth. This bag is in no way inferior to similar bags costing 2-3x, if not better. I cannot recommend A-Lab products enough. Great company and great product. OLD REVIEW: I'm a graduate student, I don't have a car and I use a bike as my primary mode of transportation, so a strong waterproof bag is essential. I really wanted to like this bag - it's comfortable, a very good size and the waterproof material looks spectacular (while the summer has been dry, there haven't been any major tests yet). However, within two days of my purchase, the stitching on the front loops (where you hook the strap to close the bag) came undone. The next day the next loop broke and I could tell it would slowly move up until there were no more loops available. I returned the product and received a new one, hoping it was a defective unit. The next bag lasted longer but unfortunately after a few weeks of regular use the bottom loop fell apart. A few days later the second loop broke and unfortunately I don't have a return window. I can already see the next seams coming loose. I use this bag daily and open/close it many times (I'm a student) but especially with the second bag I tried to use it carefully and avoid over and over. -Filling, and I don't think I've done anything beyond normal expected use. Loop stitching is the only flaw I could find on this bag (other than that I really like it!) but unfortunately it will ruin the bag. useless if I can't improvise a solution. If they could improve on this issue I think it would be a great bag but felt compelled to give a review as this looks like a relatively new product for Revain and is an important category for cyclists. I think this could be a good bag for minimal use, but if you're looking for a casual bag I don't recommend it in its current design.
