This hat was exactly what I had been looking for since last winter - something to protect my granddaughter from the wind and cold from head to shoulder. My granddaughter is 5 years old and has a medium sized head. I ordered her a size 4-7 hat, tried it on her head and found it fit her face a bit. I had to lower the bottom of the hat a bit to fit under her chin. I ended up sending this cap back and bought a size up (size 8+). Thankfully, this hat size fits like a glove. So, I like the hat now, but I would recommend maybe ordering a size up if you don't like the tight fit on this type of hat. My granddaughter will definitely use this hat for two years, maybe longer.
