My dog, a 110 lb boxer mix, has been sick and can't handle the cold like he used to. I bought him an Xlarge size. This coat fits perfectly without the extra room, but an XXL size would be too big. If you put your hand into the coat, you can feel how warm the fur is. He loves the coat and wears it outside and inside in bed. It seems to calm him down a bit. Too bad I bought it a year ago. The velcro is strong and the coat stays on no matter what he does. He wears it outside in all weathers. The rainwater has dried up and I shake it outside when it gets dirty. I haven't washed it yet so I can't tell you how it is. I also liked the price of this coat, I expected to pay double as I needed an Xlarge coat and things for large dogs are expensive.
