Bought the 9" version as an upgrade to the current smaller Kaytee wheel for my mature and energetic gerbil. It's quiet, but doesn't spin nearly as smoothly (not jerky, but the bearings are just heavier and require more power to spin) and my gerbil didn't like spinning it; he reverted to his smaller but easier to turn Kaytee. The severity did not decrease even after adding grease to the bearings. There aren't enough meshes inside the wheel either, and I had to put fabric tape around the inside perimeter to get enough grip on my gerbil's paws. Unfortunately I just have to throw this bike away. Instead, the more expensive but popular Nightangel had to be taken :/
