The lids are perforated which means they will leak if your container is upside down or on its side in your lunch bag. This also means they are not ideal for storing food in the fridge or freezer as they leak and allow bacteria to grow. I will use them anyway but most likely throw them away due to the hole in the lid. Or I can keep them and use them to take dry goods like nuts or dried fruit to work. The container and lid are quite strong. But if you're looking for a liquid-tight, airtight container, this isn't the one for you. I am sorry.
