I bought this holder to replace another phone holder that connected/connected to AC fans but couldn't get deep into the design of the blinds so I was constantly expecting that he would fall out. or worse, break the blinds. It was spot on to step into the "cigarette lighter" socket on the front of the console and raise the phone's display to a reasonable height for viewing and access. I use Waze on the go and need to run and view it on my phone as I can't send the screen to the car screen. Holding the phone was perfect. However, I have the following criticism. (1) The device comes with a rubber ring protruding from the end that fits into the cigarette lighter socket. I suppose this was supposed to provide a snug fit but it made it too tight for my case so I removed it. Despite this, the landing in the nest was particularly dense. It certainly wouldn't fall out, but it does take a little effort to connect and remove. (2) The gooseneck is very stiff and a little difficult to shape. Again, this ensures it doesn't sag while driving, but it doesn't have much room for adjustment. On the plus side, the pivot point between the phone holder and the gooseneck is easily adjustable.
