I need this adapter for my 2006 Chevy Cobalt LS to install an FM modulator/AUX port (iPod, MP3 player, phone etc.) which is not standard on this model. There are two adapters in the box - one for the antenna input, the second for the antenna output. It worked right out of the box, bridging the gap between the modulator cables and my car stereo/antenna. It seems that GM has chosen to ignore the standard antenna connector that almost every automaker and car hifi manufacturer around the world uses. So if you are planning to make modifications to a GM factory radio, you'd better check what type of antenna connector it uses and whether you need this or another adapter kit.
