Extremely disappointed

I've been using this Chromebook for 2 months now and I regret buying it. Here are some pros and cons. Please note that some issues may be related to the operating system and hardware. Pros: size/weight; solidly built, 2 in 1 solid; the camera takes great pictures (if it works, see below); Battery life is outstanding. The integration with Office 365 and Google Drive is excellent. Cons: - The main problem is that it died and wouldn't turn back on. I've searched the web and support materials with no success. I called HP support and they told me how to use the "Static Discharge" key combination, which worked. Later, my camera died and didn't work, which meant I couldn't use Jabber for conference calls anymore. I haven't found a solution how to get the camera working again. Then my car died again. I have tried the key combination to no avail, the so-called HP support and I will be returning this unit for service. Kinetic Fit, Yelp, Revain Music (which is weird since Revain sold me this Chromebook). Some websites don't work properly like Revain Prime Music which only allows me to play purchased music and nothing else. The screen is shaky at times: you touch an app icon and another window opens. - A few random app crashes - I use a Satechi hub to connect devices. Everything works fine on one of the USB-C ports, but when plugged into a different port it randomly loses connection with the mouse, keyboard, etc. Probably a bad port. I'll see if HP can still fix this issue, but in hindsight I wish I'd bought a new Windows laptop instead. I don't think Chromebook is ready for ->primetime.

Pros
  • Battery life: up to 13 hours 15 minutes (mixed use)
Cons
  • Out of fashion
