I've been making nut milk for a while now. I use a Ninja blender and a nut milk bag. I thought it would be nice if I could make a quick nut milk and use it for my fiancee. Boy was I wrong. Let's start with the look and design of the device. That's the best thing about this business. The device is solidly built and feels really good, so nothing to complain about. The very first concern came when I opened it up and found that the milk container was REALLY small, like a serving or two. But I decided it was worth a try. To use this thing, you pour water into the tank at the back, then open the lid and add nuts. The nut container is quite small and you can't use very many nuts. I tried it and the result disappointed me at best. Let me step back and tell you that I make gourmet nut milk. I use blanched and sprouted almonds, hazelnuts, macadamia nuts, and sometimes pumpkin seeds, all in one batch! Then I add cinnamon, nutmeg, bee pollen and some sweetener. Then when everything is ready I add a little xanthan gum to keep it from flaking and thickening up a bit. Let's just say I'm spoiled. When I ran my first batch through this device, it came out watery, tasteless, and full of sand! This thing doesn't separate the nut pulp at all, it just pumps it through itself, and only you have to filter it. Also, the result is HOT, he's steaming the nuts while he's processing them. If you just want to add it to your coffee, hot milk is fine, but if you're going to have a glass or add it to your cereal, forget it. product received! Like someone dumped sand in it! If I just had to filter it that would be one thing, but the fact that it was so watery and tasteless just wasn't worth it. After two attempts with two different amounts of nuts, I just couldn't justify the heavy weight of the countertop. You'll have to try and filter and squeeze the liquid from the pulp while it's hot, no thanks. It didn't save any time, it didn't bring quality or quantity any closer to what I wanted. So I cleaned it and sent it back, glad it came out of my kitchen!
