It works like an advertisement for the price

I bought a Leica 3200.COM 10x42 range finder binoculars. I wanted to mount it on a tripod so I started looking for mounts. I wanted something light yet strong, easy to install yet visually stable. I have bought various mounts including this one. Arrived on time if not for the early packaging was good. I liked the fact that it had a 0.125 inch (1/8 inch) neoprene layer covering the entire surface. I really like the fact that instead of rubber it had a decent bit of elastic in a piece of velcro. A loop of shock cord has been attached to a plastic anchor on one side and a slot on the other side wraps around it with velcro, then wraps around and sticks to the other part of the velcro. It has a small nylon loop that allows you to easily undo the velcro and quickly remove the optic. Holds optics well. Since there is only one strap, the optics play a little role. Not necessarily a bad thing. The platform is flat. I bought another similar mount that was slightly curved but because it was a different design it had as much play in optics as this one so it was a tie. To be honest I haven't tested it in the field yet, so I can't comment on durability yet. But out of the box, the design is good and quite suitable for everyday use. The thoughtfully designed strap easily attaches to a standard tripod head with a socket. Works for its price.
