Mouse was purchased over a year ago and slowly started to double click and deteriorated over time. I thought maybe it was overuse, exhaustion and bad luck on my part. Decided to buy another one directly from Logitech this time. Fast forward 4 months and the mouse will slowly start double-clicking. Over time, the problem gets worse because I can no longer use the mouse. I'm not sure what Logitech is doing with the hardware, but something is wrong. I've owned Logitech mice for over 20 years and have never had a problem with a double click. My G9 lasted 10 years and I replaced it due to wear and tear. In comparison, I love the design and software features of the G Pro and it was the perfect replacement for my G9. I ended up losing two G Pros and need to find an alternative to Logitech as a supplier. Edit: After some research, the double clicks seem to be related to the Omron switches they are using. You can do your own research as the internet is full of complaints. It's probably best to avoid anything with Omron components as several vendors use them. Another method is to solder new switches from other manufacturers like kailh or hauno. I will order a new mouse with a Kailh switch component and be done with it.
